Part Time Customer Service & Admin Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION: Essential Broadcast Solutions (EBS) is looking to recruit a Part Time Customer Service & Administrative Assistant to work in the company’s Baldock-based office.

Assisting with the day to day running of the company the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and will be used to working within a team environment.

General duties will include the following:

  • Company Administration
  • Customer contracts
  • Company database
  • Commercial duties
  • Manage reports
  • General office duties
  • Telephone campaign projects

This role represents a wonderful and exciting challenge within an established and yet fast growing company in the broadcast industry for somebody who possesses the necessary skills and experience.

SALARY RANGE: Hours and salary are negotiable and dependent on experience. We are seeking a minimum of 3 hours a day, Mon-Fri.

 

EPG Editor

As a result of new business wins, EBS are now recruiting for an EPG Editor.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing data and editing / producing TV schedules and related content - including TV listings, programme synopses, highlights, and other promotional materials.

You will be editing scheduling data and some copy for online, press and other digital platforms as well as liaising with our many international broadcasting clients on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will:-

  • be able to apply a very high level of attention to detail.
  • possess a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • be keen to develop their technical knowledge.
  • have an excellent command of written English.
  • possess good communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • be organised and systematic in their approach.
  • be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage as would experience in the broadcast industry and a passion for television.

This role is ideal for a bright, meticulous, and organised individual who is keen to apply their skills, and learn new ones, in a diverse and progressive company.

Web Developer & IT Support

A love of technology and creating sites/web apps is essential for this role; you should consider computing a hobby and a vocation rather than purely a job as we require someone dynamic, flexible with the ability to resolve issues in configuring sites, tools, scripts, routers, firewalls and general computer issues. The successful applicant will be a resourceful problem solver and will be able to work independently as well as being a good team player.

The right person for this challenging position will be able to support and develop internal software systems and dynamic database driven applications for the broadcast industry.

Required Experience

  • Commercial experience
  • Building and maintaining modern web apps
  • Experience in social media, Facebook, Twitter etc.

 Knowledge/experience in the following would also be advantageous

  • C/C++
  • Open source technologies
  • Experience in working on collaborative projects (with more than one developer)
  • Experience in the broadcast industry
